DÉJEUNETTE kiosk
As part of the Centre Mont-Royal Food Court downtown Montreal, we were commissioned to create the layout and facades of six existing food kiosks. As the redevelopment of the food court was completed a year earlier, an update to the kiosk design was required.
A single concept was realized to arrange all the kiosks to offer visual continuity. The façade of the Déjeunette and Déli like all the others, are built of two superimposed wooden panels. A wavy cut has been provided to conceal a strip of LED lighting that provides a curved effect of light, allowing a continuous effect on all other kiosks.
The volumes, materials, textures, and lighting are very well harmonized with each other. The Déjeunette and Déli kiosks are designed to serve homemade specialties, and it accommodates three areas: storage, preparation and service to ensure ergonomics at work.
