Le Laurier
In a magnificent place such as the Paton Island, in the middle of nature and close to the river, the Laurier is an imposing building that does not go unnoticed.
The mandate was to rethink the lobby and corridors, to lighten the existing mass of columns and change all the finishing.
As part of Exa Design, I had the chance to work on this rehabilitation project. With noble materials such as wood, marble, pewter and crystals for the chandeliers, we created a contemporary decor. The furniture for the living rooms is a unique creation, marked by long lines, giving the décor a refined look. A marble and wood fireplace was installed between the columns to make the hall more welcoming. The side walls have been clad with wooden cases to give them more depth, while the high and angled mirrors help accentuate the play of light. In the corridors, a set of carpets with different shades identify each owner's entrance.
